known to help keep the reef healthy and growing. Threatening Factors: One threat to the fish is human capture. The lion fish
is valued for its beauty and collected for
aquariums. Preserving this Species: With the help of the University of Guam and Guam
Wildlife protection Agencies, this species of fish is being
spawned and released back to its habitat . This creates more
fish for the reef. Additional Facts: These fishes are beautiful but are very poisonous and
very territorial.
